At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the parish priest of Kranjska Gora, Josip Lavtižar, served in Rateče. A world traveler, writer and cultural leader, travelled much of the world and devoted much of his time to the village of Rateče.
He decided to record all of Rateče's history and heritage in a diary. But just before he managed to finish it, the diary disappeared. All that was left were mysterious clues that no one has ever been able to unravel.
Will you be the one to do it? Take a journey full of puzzles and clues through Kajženk’s house, learn about the local history and make sure that the legacy of Rateče will never be forgotten.

Rich tradition and history, modern Escape Room technology
The mysterious Lavtižar's diary is hidden in Kajžnek House, an ethnographic building. It is located in a restored farmhouse in Rateče, which lies on the Slovenian border with Italy and Austria.
Josip Lavtižar lived in the house and had an important influence on the development of Rateče.
First challenge: find and visit us
Rateče is an idyllic village at the foot of Tromeja. It is surrounded by fields, meadows and pastures, and the famous Planica Ski Jumping Centre is in the immediate vicinity.
